Commercial Description:

As "Nils Oscar Vår Ale" on Bishops Arms Järntorget, Göteborg. In late April, 2009
Clear dark brown color, fluffy tan head. Spicy and herbal hoppy scent. Nice herbal hoppy taste as well as a dry grainy maltiness. Medium mouthfeel, rather high bitterness. Well balanced and very nice.

Bottle at the RBJG. Pretty red-orange color: glowing and clear, with lace. Dry, slightly fruity malt aroma, with caramel, cherry, and a bit of hops. Smooth, rich caramel flavor—great malts. Complex cereal flavor, with some cherry. Very original and interesting. Good hoppy finish.

Bottled. Pours out in a clear reddish amber colour with a low firm off-white foam. Toasted malts, caramel, prunes and spicy hops in the aroma. Medium-bodied with touches of caramel, toasted bread, cookies with spicy and lemony hops. Medium-bitter finish of spices and mild lemon with notes of burnt caramel and bread crusts.

Bottle. Amber body. Gegie head. Good lazing on the glass. Just when I feel the aroma of this brew I see this is an Oscar. It has something typical to it. It´s the special malt. Aroma is earthy, bready, malty and wood. Flavor has malt, wood, and little smoke. Low sweetnes. Medium palate. Little dry.

Bottle 33 cl. Pours a clear deep amber with an off-white head. Sweetish aroma of burned caramel, nuts and overripe fruit. Medium body, overripe fruit and caramel with some aroma hops in the finish. Almost a baby Barley Wine. 090609

Bottle (33 cl) from Systembolaget. Clear mahogny copper, medium beige head. Caramelly malt aroma, slightly bock-like, with the typical earthy and smoked manure NO notes. Soft mouthfeel. Mild bitterness, quite dry.
