Nose is very grassy and hoppy at first but turns more bready malty with a little metallic hint. Taste is very dry and grainy/grassy. A bit rough. OK. GonZoBeeR (2161), ste-Eulalie, Quebec, Canada

App.: Clear bright golden with remnants of a white head.
Aroma: Some nice malt and Saaz aromas, also some meaty / cat food going on, sweeter and fruitier than expected, celery leaves and grass, an odd mustiness; this is one eclectic and idiosyncratic nose...
Palate: Medium body, very smooth, low carbonation.
Flav.: A confusing array of flavours including dusty tropical fruit, some lightly peppery/grassy/vegetal hops, more dust and must, biscuit, an odd ester flavour, some other malts; lightly sweet and somewhat bitter with a lightly fruity and biscuity finish.
This is anything but a straight-forward pils. I’m not sure I like what it’s doing. TaktikMTL (2786), Montréal-Nord, Quebec, Canada

Lightly hoppy taste with tea and some hints of citrus. The finish is moderately bitter. More like a golden ale than a pils, but fairly tasty and drinkable. Sammy (3999), Toronto, Ontario, Canada
| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Mar 21, 2009 Thanks Phys21ca! I wanted to try this pils at some time. It is rather ordinary. A bit of cheesy aroma, OK mouthfeel and looks for a Pils, I think some Saaz hop, but rather low on taste. Not finishable. Glouglouburp (2826), Montreal, Quebec, Canada
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Mar 20, 2009 In short: A honeyed blonde ale with some Saaz. I refuse to call it a Bohemian Pilsner. Boring.
How: Bottle 330ml. Consumed a few days after receiving it through private importation but it was already close to expiration date
The look: Clear blonde body topped by a very small white head
In long: Shy nose of honeyed hay. Taste is honeyed cereals, a touch of green grassy hops. That’s about it really. Low-medium bitterness level. A little oily. Lacks the countryside freshness of a true nice bohemian pilsner. Lacks the grassy dryness of a true nice bohemian pilsner. Sweetness is too apparent for the style. This is more like a bland oily golden ale using a little Saaz. Not offensive and does the job but so do a pair of beige curtains. Boutip (2360), Gatineau, Quebec, Canada
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Mar 10, 2009 Bottle: Poured a clear deep golden color lager with a medium pure white foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of grain with some light crisp hops and light corn. Taste has some corn coming through with some lightly sweet malt and very faint hops. Well done but maybe lacking some hops and some corn comes across a bit too much.
