Thanks to Axilla for sharing this bottle. Pours a deep brown with amber notes and a medium bubbly/creamy off white light tan head. Aroma of smoked malts, vanilla, toffee, toasted malt and nuts. Flavor of chocolate, light smoke, toffee, nuts and tobacco.

Bottle. Very dark brown with a tan head. Espresso and smoked meat aroma. Smoked flavours dominate, but the sweet malty base is noticeable. Dryish finish. Well-made, but it is just not my favourite beer style.

Poured a reddish mahogany color with a thin, light tan head that left light lacing on the glass. Aroma of smoked meat, roasted malt, cocoa, and toasted caramel. Taste of roasted malts, nuts, smoked wood, smokey meats, and a dry finish.

Bottle thanks to axilla! Poured a dark brown color with a small sized off white head. Aromas of some smoke, smoked meat, caramel, roast, and chocolate. Tastes of smoke, roasty, and some chocolate. The smokiness came out more as I continued to drank this.

Bottle. Courtesy of Faroeviking! Dark brown colour with a medium head. Light smokey aroma with dark malts and sugar. I did hope for more smoke or peat. Malty and bit smokey flavour. Again I hoped for more smoke. Overall its ok but I was dissapointed with this.

My Bottom Line:
Raisins and molasses lead to roasted malts and their bitterness in this well-rounded but decidedly undersmoked Porter.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-A ring of foam surrounds the ebony.
-The roastiness carries coffee notes as well.
-Carbonation is soft and conducive to high drinkability.
-Leafy hoppiness accompanies the roasted malts in the finish, as fruity esters return to join in the fun.
-The entire flavor profile is balanced and simple; this is straight to the point, but if the point is that it is a smoked porter, I have to say it fails somewhat in its aims. That smokiness is nearly absent.

Bottle.

Draught at Pikkulintu. Dark brown / ruby color, little/no head. Coffee and roasted malts in the nose. Flavor is very roasted with strong espresso-like coffee. Big mouthfeel. Decent beer, but not smoky in my opinion.

500ml Bottle (Thanks to my lovely girlfriend Kristiina :) ) - Black in colour with a lively head. Smoked and roasted malt aroma . Roasted and lightly smoked taste with smoked ham, coffee, chocolate and some light hoppy notes. Well balanced and very enjoyable. The smoked elements are noticeable but not overwhelming.
