The aroma is musty and dank, but has plenty of meat, chocolate, and bacon. The flavor is more focused and clean. It’s a dry beer, kind of reminds me of a really good Irish dry stout but with even more bacon and meat notes. The finish is earthy with some timid hops. I obviously like this beer. It’s a really good one but is just a little short of SmokeJumper or Alaska Smoked Porter. KyotoLefty (1465), Kyoto, Japan
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | May 6, 2009 Bottle thanks to Omhper. Aroma of smoky malt, caramel, and a bit of chocolate and coffee. Also smoked salmon and wood. Rich, silky smooth body, with burnt, smoky, and hoppy bitterness balancing the rich malt sweetness. Long, burnt, woody aftertaste. Great. lassem (310), Copenhagen, Denmark
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 14/20 | Apr 29, 2009 Pours a fizzy brown - almost black with a nice and in the beginning hage brownish head. It fades quickly though. There is a mild smokey scient mixed with some like smoked sousages or dry spanish ham. The taste is dominated of roasted malts, raisins and some old ciggy-buds. The palate is waterish and the taste fades quickly leaving only some smokeness behind in the finish. pretty easy to drink but had better smokey porters duff (5475), Surrey, Greater London, England
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Apr 29, 2009 Bottle. A very enjoyable smoked porter. Not too heavy or thick, with a nice combination of roasted malt, dark fruit and smoked malt character. Pretty drinkable. Nice. LilBeerDoctor (1530), East Setauket, New York, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Apr 24, 2009 Bottle. Pours black with a small light tan head. Aroma of roasted malt, roasted meats, but overall just smokey (some cigarette smoke, some firewood smokiness). One of the smoked beers that has more smokiness as opposed to meatiness. Flavor is woodsy-smokey with light smoked meats in the background. Some bitter chocolate notes too. This is more of a "smoky" smoked beer as opposed to a "smoky meats" smoked beer, which is not really my preference, but otherwise I can’t really fault the beer.

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Apr 24, 2009 Bottle. Aroma of s’mores cooked on a slightly damp, smoldering campfire. Straight up. Flavor continues to have a damp-wood-is-smoking feel to it with a bit of chocolate, but not as much in the aroma, and more general roastiness than any hint of the graham cracker malt noted in the aroma. A bit of a plastic-y finish. Ok. NMC01 (58), Denmark
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Apr 12, 2009 50 cl. bottle ABV 5.9%. Overall this is a pleasant beer with a light pseudo Schlenkerla-like smokey touch. I usually always fancy the smoke beers but this one has an unbalanced composition: it is too watery and it needs more "let’s get going"-attitude. JB175 (1664), Bucks County, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Apr 11, 2009 Darker brown color with a slightly meaty and quite smokey aroma. Flavor has some nice smoke and woodiness to it along with some porter-ish roast and dark bread. OK rauch, but could be better for the style.
