Bottle shared by Marcus. Very dark brown pour with a good tan head. Aromas of smoke and coffee. Full bodied, but it thins as the mild carbonation leaves. Flavors of smoke over chocolate and likely coffee. Finishes nicely dry with a bit of dirty grit. It’s great.

This dark brown ale poured with a thin tan head and a smoky aroma. There is a coffee and chocolate flavor with a slightly harsh smoky finish.

Appearance: Pours a dark brown, near black body with a frothy, khaki-colored head. Smell: Roasted malt nose with a light, subdued whiff of smoke deftly maneuvering amongst the various roasty notes. Taste: Rich melange of flavors, including roasted barley, chocolate, toasted caramel, anise, blackened grains and a fairly restrained beechwood smoke component. Minor fruitiness. Roasty, earthy bitterness at the midway point. Finishes dry with a lasting touch of roast and smoke. Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Medium carbonation. Drinkability: Very drinkable, fairly solid smoked porter.

Pours a nearly opaque dark mahogany with a thin, stringy-lacing beige head. Aroma of lightly sweet toasty caramel malt and musty earthy smokiness. Body starts with decent fullness and dry toasty malty sweetness with a good smoky balance and a drier roasted finish. A pretty good smoked porter.

Pours deep dark brown, slightly red through light. Head dissapears quickly. Aroma is smokey and malt. Taste is smokey bacon, lots of malt and a definete tobacco flavour, some cereal and a burnt malt finish. Pretty enjoyable, and the smokey flavour is not overpowering.

Bottle, 5.9%. Weak malty aroma, not very smoky. Almost black colour. Unstable brown head. The flavour is nicely malty, some liquorice. The flavour is not very smoky either, but it is well-balanced.

Builds up a brown head and a big aroma consisting of wood smoke and sweet raisins. The taste is coffie and slight chokolate and finishes off with bitterness and smoke flaver that never seems to die out. Extremely pleasant porter.
