Sep 24, 2007 Draft at Stockholm Beer Festival 2007. An unclear brown beer with a red shine under a thin bubbly brown head. The aroma is sweet smoked combined with notes of tar and rope. The flavor is sweet with hints of acicity from the hard roasted malt, combined with notes of roasted and smoked malts, leading to a dry finish.

Jun 15, 2008 (Bottle 50 cl) Courtesy of fiulijn. Pours a beautiful warm reddish brown with a creamy, beige head. Aroma of roasted malt with a piquant whiff of smoke. Medium-bodied with roasted malt, dried fruit and again smooth smoky accents. Very pleasant. 290308

Sep 28, 2007 Draught at Stockholm Beer Festival. Cloudy very dark brown, beige head. Smokey nose with tar and licorice. Dryish with clean, hard mouthfeel. Medium bodied and heavily roasty with some lovely smokey notes and an unfortunate metallic edge. Salty tarry finish.

Mar 30, 2008 50 cL bottle@fonefan/Brugmansia’s Cnudde tasting. Pours almost clear and dark amber with with lacing tan head. Dry roasted and mild smoked aroma. Flavour dry smoked and woody. Not much else, but a light coffee note. Slight meady note in the finish. Ends dry and with a slowly fading smoke note.

Clear medium to light dark red brown color with a large, creamy, good lacing, mostly lasting, beige head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, coffee, moderate smoke. Flavor is moderate to light heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. (290308)

Mar 23, 2009 Bottle, 5.9%. Weak malty aroma, not very smoky. Almost black colour. Unstable brown head. The flavour is nicely malty, some liquorice. The flavour is not very smoky either, but it is well-balanced.

Sep 28, 2007 Draught@SBWF2007. Deep rubyish brown colour, not much head. Aroma is mildly roasted malts, leather and some slight yeasty notes. Flavour is the same, but much more extreme, yet it’s very refreshing and drinkable.
