A dark brown ale deriving maltiness from two types of American crystal malts, yet not overly heavy in body. Rounded with a nutty flavor from chocolate malt and a hint of black patent malt. Finished with aromatics from Czech Saaz hops.

bottle from Trader Joe’s in Phoenix for only $1! Deep mahogany in colour with a small off-white head. Strong aroma of hops and some sweet caramel. Awesome complexity, nutty along with roasted malt. I thoroughly enjoyed this and am hoping to visit the brewery if I make it out to Tucson next week.

Bottle poured a dark brown with a nice creamy head. Very nice aroma! Toasty, sweet, and light hopps. Medium body with rich, sweet roasted flavor and easy finish. This is a very good beer thats getting better as it warms

tap at brewpub-pours a deep amber hue with very nice lacing (all of their beers have good lacing it seems). grainy, nutty, chocloate, earthy aroma. Lots of fresh malt grain flavors going on in the palate. Some saaz hops detectible in the finish-put a nice tingle on the tongue. decent brown ale

Definitely one of Nimbus’s best brews. Heavy enough for your typical dark beer drinker, but light (not in color) enough for someone new to the scene. Nice hints of nuts and chocolate. Nice color and head.

Bottle: dark brown to opaque in appearance.Sweet followed by roasted subdued bitterness. Brown Ale? A bit more of a Porter if you ask me. Drinkable nontheless.

12 oz bottle. Pours brick red/brown with a fluffy tan dimpled head. Aroma is sweet and malty. I truly do not see any bubbles rising from the beer. Flavor is nutty malt and a great balance of slight sweetness and bitterness that seem to void each other out into perfect equilibrium. Light/Medium body. Very tasty. Re-Rate from 4.2 to 3.5.
