Commercial Description:
A traditional stout using dark roasted malted barley to create a full-bodied ale. Rounded with the smooth flavor of oats, the addition of English Kent Goldings hops produces a creamy stout that has proven to be a favorite.

Coca-Cola coloured beer with a fizzy and disappeaing head. The aroma was slight and filled with roast. Good body on this one, nice character provided by the oatmeal. The flavour I thought was too much soy like flavours. But after getting through half the bottle I felt that it was nicely drinkable. The flavours were mostly roasted dark malts with a drying effect on the palate.

Bottle via trade with cbkschubert. Black with no head. Great roasted aroma. Medium body with the flavors of dry malts, oats, and some sourness. Dry bitter hops in the finish. Thanks, Craig

Dark brown with small head. Good hops in the aroma. Very good. Lots of roasted malt taste. Big fan.

12 oz bottle by way of trade (bonus) from EddieG. Thanks Ed! -- Nimbus Oatmeal Stout pours out a silky ribbon of dark brown cola color. The fizzy brown head bubbles away quickly. The aroma is roasted barley and coffee with a hint of sweet chocolate. The flavor starts out just like the aroma and then has slight cherry-like tangy fruit twist to it. The long finish leaves a dry and slightly bitter, burnt coffee-like flavor on the tongue. This beer is smooth and creamy on the palate. It also coats the mouth nicely. -- Overall this was a very good Oatmeal Stout. Too bad it isn’t available anywhere near me. I would have liked to have a couple more bottles...

Quite traditional in the best meaning of the word. Nice, creamy flavor with just a hint of oat. A good representative for Nimbus.

Terminus of my Nimbus voyage and certainly the stop I most anticipated. Pitch black and topped in two fingers of the darkest brown foam I’ve seen, this oatmeal stout definitely appears sumptuous. The nose, however, tells a different story, a conversely unbalanced and awkward mélange of luscious chocolate, Kona coffee, oats and maple syrup with talcum powder, fresh leather and rubbing alcohol. A charred flavor develops on the palate, and again the malts interact maladroitly with sour pineapple, cherry and rubber. The combination could have been a success if it weren’t for the obvious tartness which unfortunately detracts from the whole experience. Even so, I found this stout to be the most enjoyable (or the least unpleasant) effort of the bunch.

Darker than cola-like pour. Creamy light brown head. Aroma is roasty chocolate syrup, biscuity brownies. Nice and sweet with decent depth. Like roasty oatmeal stout candy. Flavor is more bland roastiness than anything else. Though, there are some hidden things coming out. Velvety oatmeal. Okay beer.

Thanks Jason. The beer pours to a black body with a tall ultra-creamy tan/brown head. Nice lacing. The aroma is roasty with notes of coffee, char, oatmeal. The flavor is roasty chocolate and black patent. The long finish of this beer is extremely charred. Light sweet notes of black licorice up front. Sweet, but I wouldn’t initially think Sweet Stout. The palate has a light tartness and has a dry roastedness. Subtle oatmeal feel.
