Commercial Description:
A traditional stout using dark roasted malted barley to create a full-bodied ale. Rounded with the smooth flavor of oats, the addition of English Kent Goldings hops produces a creamy stout that has proven to be a favorite.

Getting notebook online. Bottle. Pours dark. Oats mainly on the nose. Same with the nose. Overly simple on the tongue. Almost all oats. Good but nothing special.

Corurtesy of Helbilly. Poured black thick brownish tan foamy head. Smells highly of oats, bitter chocolate, and barley. The tast is bitter and consists of plain oats and bitter chocolate. The beer is unusually bitter even though many oatmeal stouts can definitely be bitter.

Bottle received from an in person trade at DLD. Pours black with short lived brown head. Smells sweet chocolate, lactose, oatmeal, and vanilla. Flavor of sweet milk chocolate, vanilla, and a slight sour milk twinge at the end. Smooth mouthfeel from the oats and medium carbonation. A pretty nice and drinkable oatmeal stout.

Draft at the brewery. Dark pour with not much head. Aromas were roasty nutty chocolate and some coffee. Sweeter on the flavor with some bitterness on the finish. Not too bad.

Pours black from the bottle with a slight tan head of foam. Smells of brown sugar and oatmeal that continue into the flavor along with the addition of dark cocoa and coffee grounds. Fairly light-bodied for a stout with a flat dry finish.

Aromas of burnt coffee, fermented fruits and bitter cocoa and some floral hops, pours a brownish black body with a small quick head the dissappears suddenly, flavor is dr. pepper like with notes of burnt coffee and cocoa, there is a light creaminess but a little too watery body and a dry. Overall, drinkable, but just one time, Next!

12oz bottle. Black with a weird, huge, rootbeer float type head that fills 2/3 of the glass upon tasting. The aroma is milder in intensity, but strong on roasted malts and barley, with a mild acidity. Flavor is dry, burnt, and slightly sour. Like a more flavorful Guinness. Light body with aggressive carbonation. Not getting much oat, body, or sweetness for that matter. Drinkable, but not something that i would go for in the presence of alternatives.

Courtesy TheCheeseMan. Very dark brown pour with a sparse loose white head. Nice sweet and roasty aroma with a hint of dark chocolate. Light mouthfeel - a real strong bitterness on the finish, less sweet than the aroma lets on. Nice aroma, palate a bit thin.
