| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Feb 12, 2008 12oz. bottle, labeled at 5.0% abv. Thanks to hellbilly. Aroma is full of dark, sweet malts, woth roasty coffee, creamy chocolate, toffee and a hint of smoke. Opaque brown-black color with a thin, fading head. Flavor is highly toasted, roasty and smoky with grainy coffee, cocoa, hazelnut and dark brown sugar. Finish sees a touch of dryness and lightly spicy, herbal bitterness. Low in effervescence, thin and smooth on the palate with a light-medium body. This is a flavorful, easygoing stout. puzzl (2652), New York, New York, USA
