JMFG (1173), Florida, USA Jul 11, 2008 Courtesy TheCheeseMan. Very dark brown pour with a sparse loose white head. Nice sweet and roasty aroma with a hint of dark chocolate. Light mouthfeel - a real strong bitterness on the finish, less sweet than the aroma lets on. Nice aroma, palate a bit thin.
dogfish120love (78), west hartford, Connecticut, USA Oct 7, 2008 Corurtesy of Helbilly. Poured black thick brownish tan foamy head. Smells highly of oats, bitter chocolate, and barley. The tast is bitter and consists of plain oats and bitter chocolate. The beer is unusually bitter even though many oatmeal stouts can definitely be bitter. thickfreakness (104), Austin, Texas, USA Sep 30, 2008 Bottle received from an in person trade at DLD. Pours black with short lived brown head. Smells sweet chocolate, lactose, oatmeal, and vanilla. Flavor of sweet milk chocolate, vanilla, and a slight sour milk twinge at the end. Indulgence (124), Ajo, Arizona, USA Aug 1, 2008 Aromas of burnt coffee, fermented fruits and bitter cocoa and some floral hops, pours a brownish black body with a small quick head the dissappears suddenly, flavor is dr. pepper like with notes of burnt coffee and cocoa, there is a light creaminess but a little too watery body and a dry.
