Hazy dirty gold with an off white head that fades rockily to a thick film. Nose is lightly piney, some floral notes. Well balanced, but tilted slightly to the hop side, the malty flavor recedes to the bitter citrus and pepper hop. Lively mouthfeel with quite a bit of carbo, a really decent drinker. Thanks Craig! Poured a hazy copper color with a creamy white head that mostly lasted and left light lacing. Nice hoppy, pineapple, and floral aroma that picked up a little yeast smell as it warmed. The flavor found lots of hops. Pineapple, pine, and a hint of caramel in the background. Light and dry with a great bitterness throughout. Thanks Craig!! decaturstevo (2004), decatur, Tennessee, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | May 4, 2006 A little lighter color than I would expect from a PA. It pours with a decent head that fads quick but the lacing stays with the beer. A good flavor but just slightly light on the malt to match the decent hop flavor. A decent palate with good carbonation. The measuring stick for all beers could I drink it all day. Hell yes! thanks craig DYCSoccer17 (2200), Davis, California, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | May 2, 2006 12 oz bottle purchased from Tops Liquors in Tempe. Slight citric grapefruit hops in the nose along with some cereal-like notes. As I sniff more, I detect some DMS. A light pepperiness is also evident. Mildly hazy pale copper color with a frothy white head and small lacing. Grainy start--lots of corn and cereal with some subdued floral and then earthy hoppiness. Some diacetyl milky/buttery flavors also come through in the middle. Mild bittering hops to finish. Good summer day drink, although nothing spectacular. KUEric (632), Chevy Chase, Maryland, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 2/5 | 14/20 | Apr 10, 2006 12 oz bottle: Pours a deep golden color, like a macro only with a much larger head that is foamy and sticks around a little longer and larger (on sides). Aroma is of apples, lemon/citrus, dry grass/hay, mountain berries. The flavor is nice and light. Nothing is too big, but kind of complex in a watered down sort of way. Lemon is the main flavor with some grapefruit, hops (begining to think I might be able to tell some variation in hops and guessed there was cascade! excited about my developing palate/beer education). A little thin, but quite nice, although a bit of a strange aftertaste -very doughy. kramer (2472), Sunbury, Pennsylvania, USA

Light floral hop aroma with a light crystal malt base, pretty clean smelling. Nice delicate floral hops over a light malt base. Notes of fresh cut hay. Light bodied, very clean, with a very crisp lightly bitter finish. A very refreshing thirst quencher. Very good for an APA. Clean and crisp, a nice session choice. hopdog (5607), Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Feb 28, 2006 12oz bottle acquired in trade with FlactoAlto (thanks!). This one poured all head, eventually settling into a medium and slightly hazy golden color. Aromas of citrus, grain and a little earthy as well. Tastes of lemons, grapefruit, and a light honey sweetness to it. Thinner body. For my tastes, this one was on the weaker side all the way around. Schroppfy (1813), Ohio, USA
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Jan 28, 2006 Bottle, Dec dated (6 weeks old?), from FlacoAlto. This is an unfiltered and highly hopped APA, and frankly it’s delicious. Exceptionally grapefruity, and with a slim body, filled out mainly by a very sourdoughy yeast and lots of hop particulate. Crumbled crackers, even with a little salt! Don’t be lookin’ for malt sweetness here. I can’t believe the freshness and...this can’t be only 38 IBU (website). Intensely floral aroma. Std. Dev. is almost 1 for this beer. I can sense a little soapiness, and I can see how this hop unidimensionality might not suit a moment or many, but it suits this Saturday night last beer perfectly. I am totally surprised.
