Commercial Description:
An American style pale ale, this brew is hopped four times using plentiful quantities of Cascade and Columbus hops. The flavor is balanced by a subtle maltiness obtained from five varieties of malted barley and a slight fruitiness, to produce a classic beer in the style of the Pacific Northwest. A clean crisp ale with distinctive hop aroma.

Cheers to ckschubert for bonusing this in a trade last week. For getting another state of the way this was not a bad choice at all. True it is an American pale ale which does not have the punch of a stout or heavily hopped IPA but sometimes you need a change of pace. Check this one out if you are ever out west.

Aroma / Appearance - The amber body tickled the senses with honey, corn and a bit of hops. Overall it looked like your typical lawnmower beer complete with transparency and carbonation.

Flavor / Palate - For a pale ale it was more complex than I expected. Grain and malt slide down the tongue before a nice bitter finish of dry white toast. This seems like a safe transition beer for your adventurous BMC drinking friends.

Poured into Red Sox pint glass. Light golden brown, cloudy. Big head which remains. Great smelling nose, flowery hops. Tangy, sharp...sour taste. Bitter and sour. Tangy sour in the back of the palate. Checking bottle, indicates Dec 07, not sure if that’s why it’s so sour.

June ’07 bottle from trade with maniac. Beautiful hazy yellow color with huge white head with great lacing (looks like a belgian wit). Minimal hoppy aroma and notes of infection. Tastes is bad, sour, lemony. Not pleasant. Second tasting at Xmas Eve^3 party. Not infected, very fruity with a lightly bitter hop profile. About average.

Straw color with small white head. Not lasting too long and just a little lacing. Aroma of citrus and spice. Flavor is straw grain and citrus hops. Hops is lingering. Medium body with that nice hoppy finish. A classic in Tucson.

bottled march 2008. pours a clear golden color with a small lasting white head. lightly sweet grainy aroma with orange, cinnamon/spice and woody/earthy hops. the flavor is pretty much the same... lots of grain with a dry woody slightly citrus finish. light to medium bodied. nothing really stands out in this one with the exception of it’s great ability to pair with food...

(Bottle 35,5 cl) Courtesy of FlacoAlto. Hazy golden with a small, off-white head and tiny impurities. Fresh, citrusy nose. Medium body with lightly sweet malts but otherwise dominated by dry, citrusy hops that leave a slightly astringent, bitter finish. 250308

Hazy, golden colour with a nice ehite head. Little aroma of hops and fruitness. Flavour of hops and orange - ends up bitter and dry.

Bottled. A hazy golden beer with a thin white head. The aroma is sweet with strong notes of hops giving it grassy and grapefruity notes - my guess is Cascade. The flavor has crisp malty notes with strong notes of grass and hops, as well as lighter notes of citrus and fruit, leading to a dry and very bitter finish.
