aleman2004 (8), USA does not count Feb 17, 2004 Should be an IPA. Nice mild malt character and a lingering hop. A very good ... no great beer!
jah noth (938), Rochester, New York, USA May 13, 2002 Definitely worth a try when in the Tucson area. I believe this is what I had though it was under the the label of Pale Ale with a monkey on it. Very good, rich, malty and hoppy. A top pale ale - savor every ounce. Phayes99 (1), Tucson, Arizona, USA does not count Jul 6, 2002 I think this is a very fine pale ale. Nice malty taste with a very strong bitter Cascade hop taste. Schroppfy (1730), Ohio, USA Jan 28, 2006 Bottle, Dec dated (6 weeks old?), from FlacoAlto. This is an unfiltered and highly hopped APA, and frankly it’s delicious. Exceptionally grapefruity, and with a slim body, filled out mainly by a very sourdoughy yeast and lots of hop particulate. Crumbled crackers, even with a little salt! Don’t be lookin’ for malt sweetness here. I can’t believe the freshness and...this can’t be only 38 IBU (website). Intensely floral aroma. Std. Dev. is almost 1 for this beer. I can sense a little soapiness, and I can see how this hop unidimensionality might not suit a moment or many, but it suits this Saturday night last beer perfectly. I am totally surprised. Gusler (2656), Tucson, Arizona, USA Jan 5, 2002 Re-Rate 01/05/02: Next to SNPA, this Pale Ale is my favorite, ranking #2 on my ’All Time Pale Ale Master List’. The beer pours a bit cloudy deep gold color, the head white and frothy, the lace in sheets. Nose is hop floral with some malt tones. Begins, malt sweet, the middle medium, the carbonation is light to medium, the finish is ’Hop Bitter’, yummy!, also a tad dry. The long lasting hop spicy after taste adds much to this beer for me.
