Commercial Description:
An American style pale ale, this brew is hopped four times using plentiful quantities of Cascade and Columbus hops. The flavor is balanced by a subtle maltiness obtained from five varieties of malted barley and a slight fruitiness, to produce a classic beer in the style of the Pacific Northwest. A clean crisp ale with distinctive hop aroma.

Should be an IPA. Nice mild malt character and a lingering hop. A very good ... no great beer!

Definitely worth a try when in the Tucson area. I believe this is what I had though it was under the the label of Pale Ale with a monkey on it. Very good, rich, malty and hoppy. A top pale ale - savor every ounce.

I think this is a very fine pale ale. Nice malty taste with a very strong bitter Cascade hop taste.

Bottle, Dec dated (6 weeks old?), from FlacoAlto. This is an unfiltered and highly hopped APA, and frankly it’s delicious. Exceptionally grapefruity, and with a slim body, filled out mainly by a very sourdoughy yeast and lots of hop particulate. Crumbled crackers, even with a little salt! Don’t be lookin’ for malt sweetness here. I can’t believe the freshness and...this can’t be only 38 IBU (website). Intensely floral aroma. Std. Dev. is almost 1 for this beer. I can sense a little soapiness, and I can see how this hop unidimensionality might not suit a moment or many, but it suits this Saturday night last beer perfectly. I am totally surprised.

Re-Rate 01/05/02: Next to SNPA, this Pale Ale is my favorite, ranking #2 on my ’All Time Pale Ale Master List’. The beer pours a bit cloudy deep gold color, the head white and frothy, the lace in sheets. Nose is hop floral with some malt tones. Begins, malt sweet, the middle medium, the carbonation is light to medium, the finish is ’Hop Bitter’, yummy!, also a tad dry. The long lasting hop spicy after taste adds much to this beer for me.

Pours a semi-translucent copper colour. Fluffy white head, lace sits around for a long time. Very crisp, hoppy aroma. Fairly sweet flavour, crisp, hoppy. Finish is dry. magnificent.

Fantastic cloudy white head. Nice fresh fruit aroma. Lots of the hops, balanced very nicely. Very smooth, not bitter considering the hop content. I've had this beer before, better second time around. Gives Stone Pale Ale a run for their money.

Ultra-clear light amber in color with a gorgeous white head which lingers. Strong flowery-citrusy hops, balanced well with a good malt backbone. Palate feels light the beer should be heavier than it is. Smooth, very crisp and finishes very clean. Probably a tie for Nimbus' best, along with the oatmeal stout. Very, very nice.
