It only takes one Floyd to make a superior beer in Oregon. Jamie’s hyper-honed taste buds combined the utmost spectacular blend of ingredients to give a hop head exactly the beer I need. Medium brown-amber hue, sinister lacing head, and ninja kickin’ bitter finish that must be tasted to be understood. Boo yah!

This smells absolutely incredible. Sweet molasses with fruit, similar to a barleywine. Dark red-brown color. Flavor starts out malty, a little sweet, but with a hop that continuously grows to the finish.

Super dark and delicious. On tap all around Eugene - Cornucopia - had this one in the Ninkasi parking lot.

Had this at a tasting last night in Post Falls Idaho at Enoteca. 22 oz bottle. Color was bright and clear. Nose was soft but pleasently floral. The beer was excellent. Strong malt but smooth and easy to drink. Hops were slightly tart but not over poweringly so. There wer grapefruit notes that blended well with the malt. This is beer is worth investigating further. I plan on stopping into Enoteca and having a full bottle for myself. :)

Far and away a favorite. Large body, and roasted barley and dark malts, and tons of hops, and a good ABV and it just lasts on the tongue. And Wow!

This is a fine example of the somewhat recent "Double" Red Ale category. Featuring a big, bold, toasty, malty backbone that supports a tremendously copious amount of citrus hops. Well-balanced, I’ve experienced this ale on several occasions to find that once in a while it will come across as just a tad acrid. (could be old product on the shelf?). If you enjoy straightforward malt richness balanced by a good dose of citrus hops and smooth bittering then this is for you. After half a bomber you’ll never know that it hides nearly 7% abv. After two you’ll be pretty sure it did. Let it warm up a bit, listen to some Television, gulp it out of a tulip glass and savor the taste of Oregon.

A thin whiff of dark malt immediately blended with resiny hops. Clloud reddish brown w ith thin quick head (on tap at rose & raindrop). i expec ted more of christmas beer, but this is a great (double?) IPA. the hops come on strong and teeter at the edge, kept in balance bythe hops blend & just enough malt to feel near bottom. Surprisingly light in texture & quaffability, deespite low head nice carbonation

Draft at Concordia Ale House: Pours A dark almost black red. From the bottom of the pint glass you get a nice hazy red that turns into black in the top half of the glass. Finishes with a tan 1 finger head. Aroma of chewy malts, coffee and floral hops. Flavor is malty and rich, some stout like coffee and burnt woodyness and a medium hop bitterness throughout. Hops are strong in the flavor also with mostly floral notes and they dont linger. This beer has everything and its balanced, full flavored but not syrupy.
