Pours a transparent copper ruby with a spotty-lacing off-white head. Aroma of dry toasty caramel earthy maltiness and some mild grapefruity hops. Starts with a fairly full earthy sweetness and crisp resiny bittering hops. A decent double red, but could use a little more assertive crisp hop character.

Tap at Ubertavern in Seattle: Pours a murky brown color with nice tan head and clean lacing. The nose is very crisp and hoppy with a full malty caramel note and a full bouquet of hop and light spice. The flavor is very bitter and spicy with plenty of piney and citrusy notes along with the malty parts. The finish is clean, nice. Good beer, new brewery, hmm..

Thanks to Skyview for sharing. Red in color and quite bitter. Loads of citrus hops with grapefruit. A little sweet malt, and more hops in the flavor. I like this.

Draft at Oregon Brewers Festival, Portland, OR. Tan head that fully diminished and a brown hue. Nose was hoppy, woodyness, grapefruit, citrus, and malty. Flavor was hoppy, citrus and malty. Fairly smooth mouthfeel and medium body. Good brew and worthy of a try.

Deep amber color with a very thin head. This was a great winter beer. The flavors where crisp and deep. There where a tons of different spices from clove, some orange peel and a tad of vanilla in the taste. Deep malty caramel flavors this was a great beer for an odd time to be served in the summer.

From a 22 oz bottle, this poured a dark red with a light tan head and moderate lacing. Nose of citrus hops and caramel malts. Medium mouthfeel. Favors are rich with malts, citrus hops, and pine. Bitter finish.

Smells like a barley wine. Deep red malt aroma. Tastes like that cross b/w barley and double IPA. Very sweet, caramel....but a bit of a musty taste lingers in there as well. Nice.
