Big piney hop nose, sort of herbal kick to it. Caramel sweetness, slight diacetyl buttery taste. Still a bit of excess alcohol giving a little bite to it. Finish has a big hop bitterness.

Reddish brown pour with a one inch bisque head. Earth and pine in the aroma, some light caramel. Slighty sweet note in the flavor to compliment pine hops and floral hop bitterness. Solid brew. jimbowood (955), Athens, Georgia, USA

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Feb 28, 2009 Tap @ Bailey’s Taproom... Poured a reddish/ruby with an off-white head. Leafy and earthy aroma with some malts and a little bit of floral hops. A definitive American strong ale. Light carbonation and tasted like a supped up ESB. Candy sweet malts came into play with more of the floral hop bitterness towards the finish.
