The aroma has notes of resiny, grassy and a bit catty vapours, some apricot and mango esters, bready malts and a hint of minerals. The taste is acidic fruits, resiny piney hops with the malt a background player. Dry and chalky finish. The mouth feel is chewy and moderately aggressive, the is a bit of a put off. Not bad but honestly expected more. drpimento (842), La Crosse, Wisconsin, USA

Having this one after the Tricerahops and it’s not nearly as good. This poured with a white small head and no lace. Clear amber color. Hoppy malty nose. Flavor is pretty straightforward and similar to the aroma. Body is kind of watery. Finish is ok, nothing special. shigadeyo (2263), Harrison, Ohio, USA

Lots of pine and hop aromas. The hops hit the tongue and linger to the finish. It is a quality IPA. | 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jun 29, 2009 Bomber. Poured relatively clear medium golden with a short, sticky cap of white head. The aroma picked up juicy grapefruit and pineappley notes upfront with some spicy pine over softer pale and caramel malts.. solid character, but at a good, not great level. The flavor had pale and a little bit of honey malts on the back (sweet maltage overall).. bitterness was moderate-to-high in the form of grapefruit and floral character.. decently-balanced on the finish with spicy, fragrant bitterness and very sweet malts. Medium-ish bodied and sweet on the palate.. very drinkable.. lacking something, though.
