Rogueone (123), I F&ckin’ hate those guys from, Ohio, USA May 12, 2008 Thanks to miketd: This pours a hazy, vibrant orange. Dominating aroma of fresh citrus, some pine. Tastes clean, earthy, and citrusy. Very well balanced, and delicious. No doubt the Tricerahops would be one badass herbivore. Pours a slightly cloudy red-amber with a decent head. Massively herbal nose - delightful - and flavors to match. Almost minty, leafy-dry, clean and easy drinking with no sweetness or stickiness, just the way I love an IIPA. It’s only a touch hot and goes down like a 6.5% beer, dangerously quaffable. No angry bitterness on the finish, no ruinition for the palate here, but rather an intense and glorious suite of fresh-hop flavors. I’m very impressed. This is great stuff!
Angeloregon (1260), Portland, Oregon, USA Jul 20, 2007 Tried at Portland International Beer Fest and Concordia Ale House. Bursting with fresh hop flavors. Very fresh! Slightly sweet from a hardy malt spine but over-ridden with a complex hoppy finish that didn’t bludgeon taste buds, but rather massaged them nicely. Powerful beer, but the alcohol was hidden nicely. I would have liked to look at this beer in a full pint glass. Jamie Floyd never fails to amaze me. He’s a great great brewer! franksnbeans (265), Rockville, Maryland, USA Dec 29, 2007 Presented a dark apricot with a white soapy head. Lacing clings throughout the pint. Huge floral hops with citrus and rind throughout. Lots of huge hops are nicely balanced out with the malt. Smooth in the mouth with a medium body. A delight to drink and easy going for a DIPA. NickVega (71), Eugene, Oregon, USA Aug 31, 2007 Awesome! Had this on tap at the Jackalope Lounge (nice spot). This is my favorite Ninkasi so far.
