Bottle. Chocolate amd flowery hop aroma. Golden chestnut, creamy brown head. Porterlike chocolate and roast flavors, balanced wel by aromatic hops, salty on the palate. Light earthy notes retronasal. Medium to light body, mellow mouthfeel.

bottle, thanks to pivnizub. Clear dark amber coloured, beige head. Sour nose. I am not sure this beer should taste and smell like this. Pleasant hints of caramel, pleasantly malty with some shy hops, but with an omnipresent sourness. My bottle probably went bad during transport in hot weather.

Bottle. amber coloured, big loose beige head, very stable; solid nutty-caramelly nose, molasses and some fruits detectable; moderate sweet flavour, soft MF, medium bodied; traces of cacao and chocolate in the sweet-nutty finish, rounded by a malty bitterness in the aftertaste. Very tasty, very well crafted Dunkel, very moreish............

(bottle) Clear, reddish amber colour, with a medium-sized, slightly off-white foamy head. Sweet and quite aromatic toast-malty, almost Bock-like aromas with a hearty smell of Bavarian Blockmalz, caramel and a whiff of sugar beet. Sweet flavour with a light but balancing bitterness, unfortunately a bit slim bodied with a soft and pleasant mouthfeel. Dark and toast-malty tasty with caramel and light herbal spice; medium-dry, toasty malty finish with a subtle fruity touch and shy herbal hops. Classic Dunkel (12.07.08).
