Commercial Description:
Weighing in at approximately 10% abv, this beer is almost too smooth for its own good...Plenty of hop in the nose and mouth, but enough malt to make it scarily drinkable.

Tap at the brewpub: Copper pour with good clarity and a well retained off white head. The aroma is fitting to the name- a C-bomb- crisp grapefruit, lemon zest, mild peach note- strong zesty citruses. Creamy body with a somewhat sweet flavor- residual maltose (caramel & honeyish notes) mesh with a zesty Centennial presence. Grapefruity citruses with some earthy Chinook resins and a bit of vegetal character toward the back. A solid balanced IIPA.

Draft: Poured an amber color, not too much head. The aroma was sweet hops, lots of them. The flavor was piney and slightly citrusy. Overall, very hoppy and very smooth. A good DIPA.

On tap at the brewpub ahead of the Flyers’ game 4 W over Les Habs. Poured a full amber to copper type color, decent head, weak lacing. The aroma was piney grapefrults, sweet fruity caramel malts. The flavor followed suite, the alcohool was a little sharp, the malts a little sticky (reminded me of DFH90, but not nearly as exciting). Mouthfeel was average in body, a little too much stickiness left behind. The best of the three that I ran at NH before heading over to Monk’s. Too bad these clowns didn’t really have the Berliner Weisse on draft like their website said.

Hand pulled tap @ Nodding Head. Poured a clear clear amber color with an off-white head. Citrusy and fresh C hop aroma. Caramel starts the flavor the C hops take over. This morphs from citrus to grapefruit rind bitterness. The finish was long with a medium body.

On tap @ the brewey. Rich copper color, nice head. Lots of citrus notes, orange & grapefruit dominating. Solid malt body to balance the hops. One of the better east Coast DIPA’s I’ve tried.

Clear amber color with a medium white head. Aroma has a nice floral-citrus essence. Flavor was floral, citrusy, and sweet - nice hop usage with just enough tasty malt to make it smooth and tasty. Good hop combination - reminiscent of Barley’s 4 Seas DIPA (minus 1C - Columbus of course).
