Pours a translucent deeper copper amber with a smaller bubbly light lacing off white head. Aroma of malty sweetness, Flavors of malty sweet grains, some very light hop bitterness, iced tea, very easy drinking session beer. Kind of on the thin side. Too thin to really be called smooth.

Draft-Dark Amber coloring with a pour of about a one inch head. Was very smooth and malty. Overall, very enjoyable, and easily drinkable especially from a micro brew with a very nice atmosphere. Highly recommend both beer/tavern

Tap at brewery. Ash and sour malt aroma - very slight brine aroma initially that faded as it warmed. Dark amber color with a small head. Mild sour malt flavor with a very nice light smoky malt aftertaste. Light bodied. A tasty beer but on the light side.

Enjoyed a pint of this one on draught at the brewery in Philadelphia, PA. Pours to a bright, deep amber color, with a tall white head, and a moderate carbonation. The nose is malty, with aromas of sweet malt, light smoke, and hints of light toast and nuts. The palate offers more of the same, nutty and toasty malt, with some light flavors of caramel. This beer finishes with more light nutty and toasty malt up front, then ends with light smoke flavor, and some grassy hop bitterness to balance. A good example of Scottish Ale. Perhaps my palate was jaded from the other fantastic beers I enjoyed at Nodding Head, but this beer seemed to fall a little short of the mark. That being said, it was tasty, very drinkable, and clearly well made.

Amber color with medium head and a slightly malty aroma. Taste starts out malty and generally pretty good, but fades fast and has a strange cheap/macro lager middle and finish about it. Could have been better.
