Clear dark brown Scottish-style ale having small white diminishing head. No discernable carbonation. Sweet malt aroma. Medium bodied that starts with lightly sweet malt. Slight off-flavor (oxidation product?). Finishes with slightly sweet malt after taste. No discernable hops and bitterness. A good drinkable malty session beer, similar to Bass ale. wnhay (722), Princeton, New Jersey, USA

Very little aroma a bit of vanilla and caramel were present. Same deal with the taste. A bit tangy with a nasty aftertaste which I am still tasting right now. Pretty weak. | 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Mar 26, 2005 Deep amber color with a small tan head. Malty and roasty aroma. Light smoke and caramel taste with a hint of vanilla. A very easy beer to drink, but not a great example of a scotch ale. Very thin and a bit weak. Arnoud (35), Hawthorne, New Jersey, USA

Reddish color with a thin head, chemically nose (perhaps a dirty glass?). Thin nutty taste, very cereal like. Absolutley devoid of any bitterness.... no discernable hops. Reminds me of homebrew.
