The aroma had citrus and graitfruit hops. It reminded me more of an IPA. Taste had a descent start, but got watery pretty quickly. This beer is about average in my opinion. Nose is malty and citrus with slight hints of hops, flowers, and grass. Flavor is bitter, but not in a good way. The balance is way off on this one. Looking at the previous ratings, I wonder if the recipe has changed as this has a lot of hop character. Average brewpub pale ale. Hawksfan17 (717), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Feb 26, 2005 Real strange pale ale, way too much citrus for me, it had a grapefruit taste which I really don’t like. It was amber in color and went down fine though. spikee (96), Providence, Rhode Island, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Feb 24, 2005 Light malty aroma with a lemon and citrus hoppiness. Pours a clear, medium amber with an average, off-white, and lasting head. Slightly sweet with a moderate amount of bitterness and a touch of salt. Finish is slightly acidic with a "kick in the teeth" hoppy bite that lingers long after it goes down. Excellent hops! Medium-bodied with an oily and fizzy texture. | 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Feb 7, 2005 Pours pail amber. Aroma of fresh citrus and lightly floral hops. Flavor is a nice fres hop with a weak watery maltiness failing to provide a backbone. Palate is rather thin. michael-pollack (2739), King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, USA

Poured amber/brown color with a good head and fair lacing. Tasted of hops, spicy hops. Maybe some nutty notes as well. Easy to drink. Overall, not dry enough for me. | 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 3/10 | 3/5 | 8/20 | Jan 14, 2005 Peachy gold. Nose hoppy and citric, not much else. Flavor very better and bready, oddly lagerish in its finishing hops. Far too bready. Not a good thing.
