On tap at the Nodding Head. Poured a medium and clear orange color wtih an averaged sized off white head. Aromas of pine, citrus and some caramel. Tastes of grapefruit, some caramel and lighter pine. Reminded me more of an IPA.

Golden colour with a big hoppy aroma. Lots of fresh resiny pine and a soft lemon/orange citrus as well. There is a light kiss of pine as well. It’s pretty well-balanced though. Fairly assertive bitterness on the back. Lots of hoppy flavour but it comes through less on the aroma. I quite like it though.

6 oz sample at the brewpub. Bright dark amber, good head retention. Light malty nose, honey-apple-lemon character here and in the flavor. Light and mild, little hoppiness that I could detect.

Tap @ the pub. Poured an almost clear gold color with a large white head. Big orange rind aroma with a mix of caramel malt. Orange rind and pith flavor with some pine. Light bodied with a mild-moderate long bitterness.

Draft pint at the brewpub. Reddish amber with a thin head. Full-on aroma of piney hops. Drinks with a bit of a soapy quality, the malt not quite full enough to hang on to the hop astringency that gets more and more earthy as it warms. Fun beer. (#3189, 11/9/2007)

Poured a gold color with a white head, and some lacing. citrusy hop, and a sweet malt aroma. Light grapefruit bitterness, sweet malts. Rather weak and oily mouthfeel.
