Rubbery, chemical flavor, with a mild chocolate. Low carbonation, a bit nutty in the finish. A bit of an odd-ball beer. I appreciate the effort, I guess. | 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Mar 18, 2009 Dark brown beer with a thin tan head. Aroma is lightly phenolic as well. A bit of earthy chocolate in the nose. Malty sweetness with more caramel obvious through the middle. Slightly astringent toward the back of the palate. The body is initially full-bodied, but it seems to thin the more of it you drink. It’s okay, but it’s no brown ale.... blipp (1738), Newark, New Jersey, USA

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jan 10, 2009 On tap at the brewpub. Pours black with a pretty thick tan head. Aroma of sweet malt. Flavor of crystal malt, roasted malt. Sessionable, certainly, but this is TOO sweet (a common theme among Nodding Head beers it seems...).

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jan 6, 2009 Pretty good for a brown. Simple, clean, and easy to drink. I’m really impressed by how flawless Nodding Heads brews are, meaning no off-flavors in sight. I could drink this all night. T2Tool (352), Murfreesboro, Tennessee, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jan 4, 2009 This is a nice session brown ale. Had at the brewpub in a pint glass. Appearance of dark brown with no head (although this could have been because it took a while for the beer to arrive at the table). The aroma and the taste matched up on this one with sweet and nutty roasted malt. Some toffee flavors also.
