Spicy and yeasty aroma, kind of on the light side. Similar flavor, belgian yeasty notes of front, spice, a light sweetness, and a decent amount of hop character. Pretty good.

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Nov 14, 2009 On tap at Nodding Head in Philly, PA. Pours a cloudy, amber colored body with a finger-width, slowly dissipating, beige colored, overly creamy head that leaves a moderate lacing. Pleasant aroma of Belgian yeast spices and fruits with a light malt sweetness. A light, flowery hop backing rounds this out nicely. Nothing too fancy, but solid. Flavor has a lot more banana taste to it than the aroma. More Belgian fruits too and a nice, lightly bittered, flowery hop finish. A somewhat bready malt sweetness provides an enjoyable balance with a light yeast spicing in there as well. Finishes clean with an aftertaste that lingers with spices, flowery hops, fruit, and lightly sweetened malts for a long duration. Fairly light bodied, clean, and easy drinking. Overall, a lighter Belgian styled ale, but very tasty. Nice balance and clean profile. Good one. TomDecapolis (3188), Skippack, Pennsylvania, USA
