Pale yellow body with a delicate wheat aroma. A lemony faintly sour light wheat body with a crisp finish. beastiefan2k (1608), Lawrence (formely NYC), Kansas, USA

Ehhh... this was the worst of the Beliners I tried at the fest and probably the worst fresh Beliner I have ever had (not that it is all that many). It may be due to the fact that this batch was ready to drink by June and its 5 months later. A clear pale yellow pour. Aroma is just boring wheat, not interesting. Taste has a bit more zip to it. There is a very light lactic properties to it, a bit of lemon. Eh, I like the style but this could have been better. ¾ (5011), Boulder, Colorado, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Oct 13, 2008 Very very light pale yellow colored body. Nose is light grains, mostly sweet... sweet crystalline wheat. Fresh, semi-sweet lemon juice and creamed, milky wheat, nice mild tartness, mild to medium acidity. Sweet honey noticed in the finish... lightly sweet overall, creamy tartness is nice, and slightly sweet honey note finishes well. Love these things coming in under 4% ABV. kmweaver (2501), Sebastopol, California, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Aug 4, 2008 Draft @ Nodding Head. Pours a clear golden color; thin white head with patchy lacing. Lots of tart citrus and pleasant wheatiness in the aroma; lively tartness, nicely dry; crisp, refreshing, and approachable. Solid tart citrus, mild acidity, and pleasantly soft wheat note upfront; basic, refreshing; light-to-medium mouthfeel; solid, approachable Berliner weisse. Very drinkable. Light finish: crisp citrus, wheat; very clean ending overall. biggcb (464), Harleysville, Pennsylvania, USA

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jun 9, 2008 Tap – Nodding Head. Clear light gold, thin fizzy white head. Lemon zest aromas warm to light grassy sour white grape tones. A touch of cereal plays out late. Tart dry lemony flavor balances well on notes of earthy wheat. Light bodied, prickly carbonation, earthed citric finish. A nice summer session brew in my book... RblWthACoz (963), Brooklyn, New York, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Feb 2, 2008 Pours a very pale straw. White head. Nose is a tangy tart. Flavor is crisp with a smooth citric tone. Gives a bit of a kick in the back of the mouth, but not a whole lot really. More like a bump I guess. Feel has a good carbonation and a thinner, but appropriate liquid feel. This can be a weird style to tackle, and I say it was handled pretty well here. 1FastSTi (2591), Glendale, Wisconsin, USA

Ok, I must be crazy as this beer was stand-out at the festival (for a Berliner Weisse) bit it rates pretty damned low. The beer pours to a damn near water looking light pale yellow plastic body with a thin white head. The aroma is wheat cereal and that typical Berliner Weiss sour character. The flavor is tart and lactic with a nice wheat cereal and sour funk. Very good clean wheat. The palate is very refreshing with a sour Berliner Weiss character. Light body. Very good.
