| 2.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 1/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Oct 18, 2005 Extremely clear and pale yellow. Cider and soured apples, yet also lactic and celery nose, hinting a bit at urine, vinegar and oaky white wine on the way. Incredibly thin bodied, ponctuated the small bubbles bite the tongue intensely. Average balance, rather astringent acidity, but not too sweet at least. bu11zeye (5488), Frisco, Texas, USA

| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Mar 18, 2009 Very, very pale golden beer. No head at all. The aroma is very wheaty and lemony. Softly spicy nose with a bit of citric tartness as well. The flavour is also just a little bit on the sour side. Light lactic tartness with a lot of lemon and wheaty spiciness. A little bit grainy. There is a light sweetness that might come from the syrup (I didn’t see her put it in, but puzzl said she probably did). A fairly full body that is kind of unusual in a berliner weisse. It’s simple but fairly enjoyable.
