| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Mar 6, 2009 Cask at the Brewpub. Clear light yellow body with a small but sturdy white head. I’m not a fan of the way they stack wet pint glasses, as there’s no carbonation in the glass. Aroma is a handfull of fresh hops. Flavor is the greenest kolsch I’ve ever had. A bit thin in body as it tastes like a light glass of hop water. A little soapy doesn’t help but it ain’t horrible either. After asking the bartender, this cask was dry hopped.

| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Apr 25, 2009 Draught at Nodding Head: Aroma of soap, herbs, slight hops, plastic and vegetables. Poured gold/blond/yellow in color with a medium-sized, white head that diminished but lasted throughout. Clear. Not sparkling. Flavor is lightly sweet. Tastes of vegetables, slight lemon, pale malts, toasting, and slight hops. Light to medium body. Oily texture. Soft to average carbonation. Slightly sweet, slightly lemon finish. puzzl (2650), New York, New York, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Mar 23, 2009 Tap at the brewpub. Mild saaz and noble hop aroma, lots of pine and herbals, if you dig. Flavor is sweetish, corny, flower stems, with beet notes. A bit off kilter. JoeMcPhee (5030), Jackson Heights, New York, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Mar 18, 2009 Very pale straw colour. The aroma is sort of spicy with a lot of corianderish citrus and fresh cut grass. Low carbonation which makes this seem sweeter than it probably is. It tastes a little like a filtered/unspiced wheat beer. Grassy hoppiness but it gets a little bit soapy as I keep drinking it. Meh blipp (1751), Newark, New Jersey, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Mar 5, 2009 Hand pumped from a cask at the Brewpub. Pours clear gold with a white head. Lemony citric hop aroma. Same with the flavor, lemony citrus, decently balanced. Maybe a very light hnit of soap. Not bad. checkmatei1 (630), Willow Grove, Pennsylvania, USA
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | May 5, 2008 Draft: I’m surprised at finding out this was a Kolsch. The description at the brewery said it was a Golden Ale. It poured a golden yellow color with not much head. The aroma was light hops and citrus. The flavor was weird. It started out smooth and sweet with hint of coriander. Then it finished by tasting like metal. Not a beer I’d ever drink again. I struggled to get this down. kkearn (1014), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Mar 28, 2007 Draft. Pale golden color with a thin white head. Fresh hop aroma with citrus and some grainy notes. Fresh hop flavor with a citric finish. Refreshing. Zeswaft (1000), Seattle, Washington, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | May 2, 2006 I think mike oberdorf said it best: "WHAAAAA?" An average of 3.92? This was mediocre at best. Actually, it tasted like a slightly less hoppy version of their BPA. I thought it was a golden/blonde ale. A Kolsch? I highly doubt it. I’ll be happy to take this beer down a peg or two.
