scraff (1656), Baltimore, Maryland, USA Jun 9, 2008 Tap – Nodding Head (6.7%). Dark brown, thin tan creamy head. Milk chocolate and smoked nut aromas ride undertones of toasted oatmeal cherry bread. Room temp allows faint whiffs of berry and molasses to pull through. Malty toasted chocolate and cherry berry tones balance on hints of mild smoked coffee. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, drying malty finish. Very well done…
TomDecapolis (2407), Skippack, Pennsylvania, USA Mar 1, 2008 Sample at PCBF 08. Pours a translucent chestnut amber with a medium creamy off white head. Aroma of grainy malt sweetness, some toffee notes, nuts and a little bready. Flavor was much the same with a nice grainy malt note, touch of citrus, some toffee and mixed nuts.
