A Mes rate. Bottle at Chris O’s beer exposed tasting.
Mid amber brown colour with a thin off white head. Very fruity and malty. Good alcohol notes but that’s about it really. Faint fruity spicy finish with some late sourness. Blah.

huge yeast aroma. Cloudy brown with a huge head. Starts very well, but is a bit watery and bland. Ok to sample, but nothing I would buy. Thanks to my friend Simon for bringing this from Norway

Bottle at Chris O’s tasting, 26th Sept 2008. Cloudy deep brown colour. Overly sweet and bland with little depth. Far, far better Belgian Christmas beers are available!

250ml bottle full to brim from under the stairs. Odd, complex aroma of chiccory roast, molasses, butter, blood, chocolate, yeasty edge, hint of vinegar. Dark ruby with a silky beige lid. Dab of Flemish brown/sour, cherry fruit, bottled Mild chocolate and earthy yeastiness, distinct cask notes, iron, lightly roasted malts. Intriguing, sweet-sour, savoury brew with aged splashes.
