50cl bottle from Barley Wine.Batch 198. It poured an orange colour with a small white head. It has a sweet fruity aroma that smells of hops, oranges and apricots. It has a spicy and bitter-sweet flavour that tastes of malts, oranges and a hint of lemon. It has a lingering bitter-sweet aftertaste. Although the best-before date has expired it both smells and tastes suprisingly good.

Bottled (thanks Papsoe!). Pale golden colour with small white head. Aroma is fruity and grassy hops along with not much else. Flavour is dry grassyness along with fruits and dry wood.

(Bottled) Opaque orange-amber with a small head. Aroma of fresh fruit, . Quite strongly hoppy flavor with orangey fruitiness - acidic, dry and very hoppy. Medium body with quite high bitterness. A bold and hoppy brew, but would need to re-sample in a "sterile environment".

500 ml bottle. (Batch # 198. Brewed 10.09.2005, BB 10.09.2007) Pours a slightly hazed, low carbonatied deep golden body. Medium-sized, fully diminishing greyish coarse head. Aroma has a pleasant, strong fruity hoppiness. Oranges, sweet grapefruit and notes of apricot. Taste is bitter, a well rounded fruity bitterness with semi-dry malts and a dash of fresh acidity. Healthy body. Lingering bitter finish. A treat. (Thanks to Beer_2000 for providing what is probably one the last bottles in circulation)

[tasting notes from 2006]. Hazy orange with a huge head. Nice hoppy aroma of fruits, grass and orange. The flavour is bitter but also more sweet than expected with notes of lemon, grape and caramel.

Bottle 0,5 l. Thanks to all involved for the bottle - and Rune for the transport. Pale golden colored. A small creamy head. Extremely hoppy aroma. Extremely bitter but surprisingly well rounded. A lot of sediments.

500ml sampled at a rating session in Tromsø. Thanks to Yngwie and VANØ for the bottle. (bb.10.09.2007, batch 198(?)). Low-level foam over a hazy amber body. Tangy hops to the notes. With 70 IBU the flavour offers a brimful of zesty hops. Living bitter aftertaste that lingers on and on - until the next day. Pity that this well bodied ale has retired (21.11.2007).
