Commercial Description:
Editor’s note: Originally launced as bottle conditioned Kos på Groos as a festival beer for the Skral rock/pop festival in 2008. Spring 2009 it was relaunched as Blond, tap only. For the Free Port Days in Kristiansand June 2009 it was sold bottle conditioned once more, this time with an extra addition of Cascade hops, under the name Porto Franco.

On the label of Kos på Groos: Kos På Groos nytes best avkjølt i sola mens man opplever god musikk.

On the label of Porto Franco: Øl har lange tradisjoner til sjøs.

(Draught at Olympen, Oslo, 6 Nov 2009) Golden colour, slightly hazy, with frothy white head. Malty, slightly fruity nose with citrus, peaches and fresh, grassy hops. Malty nose with notes of grass, citrus and a generous, dry bitterness in the finish. Rather light body, mainly dry. Nice, tasty and very refreshing

Bottle 50 cl. Courtesy of yngwie. Comes as "Nøgne Ø Kos på Groos". Pours a cloudy opaque golden with an off-white head leaving some laces. Slightly astringent yeasty aroma - is there some Brett in here?? Medium body, sweet malty and fruity again with yeast and a light Bretty astringency. Finishes rather dry. Usually a Belgian Blond is pretty much one of the most boring styles of this world, but this is certainly an exception. Very refreshing. 201009

Bottle. Pours a slightly hazy pale yellow with a small white head. Tart, hoppy, fruit/berry aroma. Dryish and with a weird off-note. Weak flavour. Hops and slight milky notes. Dryish. Faint grainy notes. Metallic notes as it warms. Bitterish finish. A bit too much carbonation. 26-09-09.

Bottled. A hazy golden beer with a huge off-white head. The aroma has notes of fruit and sweet malt. The flavor is sweet with notes fo fruit - especially peaches and malt, leading to a dry finish.

Draught, Olympen Mat Og Vinhus, Oslo. Thinnish peachy haze with a rapidly diminishing white collar. Labrador sprayed with Fairy Liquid aroma; dankness, some vegetables, lemon barley squash. Winegummy lime and tame citrussy hop stillness, like the Ardenne with flat lemonade. A little dank and watery, but OK.
