Pretty pleased to have tried this & certainly don’t regret having it at such a young age. Pours black with not much of a head. Nose has a heap of coffee, dark liquered fruits & roasted malt with the high abv attributing a slight spirity character, also a touch of smoke. Palate is pretty thick and mouthcoating as you would expect from the 16%abv. Coffee is integrated with the dark malt really well & while dominating it certainly doesnt stick out of place. Finishes quite prickly and slightly numbing on the tip of the tongue, aside from that abv is handled really well. Suprised this isnt a whole lot sweeter, which is definately a pleasant surprise showing great balance. Highly recommend, despite hefty price.

Bottle #260. Dark brown, almost black colour with a dark brown head. The aroma of coffee, roasted malt and liquorice. Roasted malt flavour with a lot of coffee and liquorice, notes of chocolate, sweetness and some bitterness. Less alcohol in the taste than I expected. Full-bodied, aftertaste is long, roasted, bitter and warming. Very good, but maybe it still needs some time to reach the full potential.

Bottle@Home. Loads of fruits, chocolate, some coffee, very complex aroma. Pitch black, brown head, good lace. Very fruity, loads of coffee, sweet, very bitter, licorice. Full and warming. Very flavourful, very complex, hard to drink of course but wonderful, exploding, yet not over the edge. This is probably how World Wide Stout should have tasted like.

[2466-20090827] 1pt0.9floz bottle. Used roasted coffee grounds, rich malty date syrup and sweet molasses aroma. Dark dark brown body with a quick foamy dark brown head. Initial roast coffee flavour finishes long and strong as burnt smoked wood, the alcohol is not initially present but finishes with a bit of a Bam! Full, heavy body. Soooo rich, so boozy, has a ridiculously long finish -- woah, it’s 17%?! Can tell it’s boozy but that’s surprisingly high.
Overheard: "It tastes like farm."

Tasted at an imperial stout session with the colleagues. Second to last in the lineup which might have scewed my judgement, since i wasnt as pleased as expected. The look is perfect though. Black with a nice dark brown head. Aroma is very boozy which kinda rips in your nose, the more subtle notes reveals burned malts, salmiak and dark dark chocolate. Flavor is kinda boozy aswell which follows into the finish also, 10 years from now im sure it would be awsome, but i cant really get past the alchohol....shame

dark. smells of booze, like everclear, apricot, and grape.. thin body, this is not pleasant.yeah-peanut butter and a chocolate espresso flavor.however, the alcohol is in the way.booziness is nice enough in the nose with the coffee but distracts in the flavor. in the finish is a white grape note that also isn’t working well. nutty chocolate watered down coffee. 5 6 5 2 13

Black with a brown head. Big earthy malt, candi sugar black licorice tobacco leaf aromas. Smooth mouthfeel with light carbonation. Taste mirrors aroma with dry black malts tobacco leaf candi sugar bittersweet flavors. Warming boozy finish. 6oz of this is enough for me.
