Aroma has roast coffee, dark fruits(figs and dates), anise, and chocolate. Full body is supported by a coating and smooth carbonation. Taste is dominated by coffee notes. Chocolate and anise are evident. Dark fruits, mostly prunes, linger in the back ground. Finishes with roasty coffee notes.

Sweet aroma, honey with bitter chocolate and nutmeg. Definite sweet caramel and chocolate flavor, a touch of underlying hop bitterness, cinnamon and a some other spice in there also. Nose smells like a spiced stout with notes of cinnamin and chocolate. Very smooth taste. Flavors of stout, mild seasonal spices, and chocolate come through in a nice blend. Slightly alcoholly but pleasant. Very nice beer.
