Nov 4, 2007 Bottle, bought @ SuperBrugsen, Bramdrupdam. Pours a deep ruby red and brown with a big beige frothy head. Powerful aroma, roasted, toffee, chocolate and spices. Some cinnamon and smokyness in there as well. Very creamy mouthfeel. Flavour is roasted, some slight coffee and chocolate. A relatively powerful bitterness sticks to my teeth and tongue. Good for dessert.

Nov 3, 2007 bottle. average light brown creamy head (mostly dissapating) into black body, with good lacing. aromas of coffee, chocolate, light caramel, as well as some light vinousnous. moderately long duration length. Good beer.

Nov 1, 2007 Flaske. Dufter som en god joint. Nogle ville kalde det for en græsset duft, men helt klart en god joint. Overraskende nok fortsætter duften i smagen, som også har et meget kraftigt bid. Speciel øl, men jeg kunne lide den.

Oct 31, 2007 U.S. "Winter Ale" label. Pours a deep cola brown with a rushing head of tan. Roasty caramel aromas. Licorice-infused flavors. Roasty malts, raisins, and plums. Chocolate maltiness in the background. Finish of coffee, juniper berries, and prunes. Hazelnut lingers on my lips. Smooth body. Interesting.

Oct 31, 2007 (bottle) Pours dark brown with a light tan head. Faint aroma of caramel and roast smells. Taste has some nice caramel sweetness which rounds out to a hoppy finish.

Oct 30, 2007 Bottle. Pours a pitch black colour with a huge nice beige good lasting light brown head. Aroma of spices with roasted malt, chocolate, coffee and some vanille. Good mouthfeel. Roasty and quite spiced flavour with liquorice, some chocolate and dry hops. Good spiced and roasty finish. Tasty Christmas brew.

Oct 28, 2007 Bottle. Nice tan head with good carbonation. Notes of coffee, chocolate, alcohol and mild spice in the nose. Dry roast/chocolate finish that is mouth-coating. A bit more aroma hops would really help smooth this beer out. A nice winter beer that is satiating.
