Opaque black, decent tan head. Very yeasty (and vegetably) aroma (also lots of yeast stick in bottle) with notes of toasted malts and chocolate. Very bitter flavor. "Floury" palate. Roasted malts, yeast. Long bitter and roasted aftertaste. I have to buy another bottle and cellar it till Xmas, this one was quite yeasty. Maria (6225), Thisted, Denmark
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 10/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Jan 7, 2007 Fynske Øldage 2005, Odense. Dark brown with a nice head. The flavour is sweet with notes of roasted malt, caramel, dark fruits and a hint of clove. It has a nice bitterness. The alcohol is well hidden, and that is a potential danger - at least when beer tastes this well! It’s almost like a Barley Wine. Emil (6074), Copenhagen, Denmark
