| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Mar 9, 2007 1pt .9oz bottle labeled Winter Ale. Poured a dark/deep reddish-brown color with a larged sized tan head. Aromas of bread, roast, chocolate, and I’m getting some spiciness. Tastes of roast, chocolate, dark fruits, caramel, and a trace of brown sugar. Alcohol well hidden. Interesting. When I dumped the last of the bottle in my glass, in came a bunch of large chunky floaters (or should I call them sinkers). Magicdave6 (5513), London, Greater London, England

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Feb 17, 2007 Bottle... Very dark, cola-colored ale with a mid-sized, frothy, khaki head. Decent retention. Chocolate and cola aromas. Rich, chocolaty malt flavor with adequate bitterness and deeply roasted notes. Balanced almost perfectly... neither sweet nor overly hopped. Full-bodied and silky with reticent carbonation. Dark, chocolaty finish. Huge KUDOS to marsiblursi for boxing this one up and floating it across the Atlantic!
