Heavy aroma of roasted/smoked malts and chocolate, with underlying porty notes. Lots of dusty hobs in the flavor along with roasted bitterness. Smells of malts, chocolate, raisins, and hints of fruit and alcohol. Poured dark brown in color with a large, dense, foamy, brown head that lasted throughout. Opaque. Very good lacing. Flavor of chocolate, dark malts, candi sugar, roasting, piney hops, and a hint of vanilla. Medium body. Creamy, chalky texture. Soft carbonation. Chocolate and cola aromas. Rich, chocolaty malt flavor with adequate bitterness and deeply roasted notes. Balanced almost perfectly... neither sweet nor overly hopped. Full-bodied and silky with reticent carbonation. Dark, chocolaty finish. Huge KUDOS to marsiblursi for boxing this one up and floating it across the Atlantic!
