OleR (1434), Oslo, Norway Mar 13, 2007 Bottle. Thanks to Beer 2000 for this treat. Pours dark ruby with a modest tan head. Tempting sweet malt aroma with caramel, mild coffee, hazelnut and fresh hops. Bittersweet taste; roasty malts, toffee/caramel, with a proper citric acidicy. Oily mouthfeel, strong body. Long , slight bitter coffeeish finish. Nøgne Ø is top end!
hirigalzkar (153), Stockholm, Sweden Nov 27, 2008 Bottle. Beautiful red/brown colour. Beige head. Aroma of barley, hops and chocolate. Tastes like an american barley wine with lots of chocolate. Feels like milk in the mouth. The beer is overall a little too mild and smooth. It´s not complex enough... although this is obviously a very good beer.
