kappldav123 (1229), Markkleeberg, Germany May 29, 2008 Big thanks to Zinister for the beer! The bottle looks good, the beer in the glass also. Very dark foam. Tastes very strong-roastmalty. Finish warming and a little bit like wood. Very good beer!

Burnt chocolate, coffee aroma. Dark opaque color, with a mocha head. Huge coffee overtones in flavor, with some bitter dark chocolate, red fruit, residual sweetness on the aftertaste. Foamy smooth palate. Travlr (427), Washington, Washington DC, USA Jan 2, 2009 Very dark maroon with gorgeous maroon head. Aroma of light roasted coffee. Full bodied, chocolate and roasted coffee flavor. Nice bitter, slightly smoky finish. A winner. mikalooch (57), , New Jersey, USA Jan 2, 2009 Pours motor oil black with a very generous and creamy head for an imperial, leaves a nice lacing. Nose is malt, dark chocolate and molasses. Chocolate and malt, almost like Whoppers candy, rounds out the sweetness with a nice bitter end. Sticky mouthfeel, very smooth and drinkable. Fine effort. timfoolery (419), California, USA Jan 1, 2009 Bottle from Wade’s Wines in Westlake Village, CA. This Imperial Stout was a bit thinner than I’m used to and lacked the coffee flavor that most American craft brewers add. However, it is superior to most stouts and had the vanilla, chocolate, and oat flavors to fill out the taste. Excellent palate and presentation. Brouwser (109), gatineau, Quebec, Canada Jan 1, 2009 Noire, reflets mélasse.
