danielcurtis81 (879), San Diego, California, USA Oct 26, 2008 Getting notebook online. Bottle. Pours a very inviting black. Nose very sweet caramel and chocolate flavors. They follow to the tongue with some hints of coffee. Very excellent porter! timfoolery (482), California, USA Oct 25, 2008 From Wade’s Wines in SoCal. Hey, if this is the porter, I can’t wait to taste the Imperial Stout because I hooked up several. This one had a wonderful palate, smooth as can be coffee/fruit/choco-flavor, and superb maltiness. This one’s an art, and it costs that to boot. RudeLead (8), Oslo, Norway does not count Oct 23, 2008 Batch 336, brewed 28.01.08.
Large, medium tan head. Pitch black, unpenetratable and shiny colour.
A bit closed on the nose at first, but opens up after a while in the glass and the temperature rises a bit. Aromas of dark malts, raisins, chocolate, toffee and coffee with floral notes and hints of red berries and banana.
Medium to full bodied and smooth on the palate with good, fine bubbled mousse. The coffee is more pronounced in the taste than on the nose. Finishes with a long, fresh, grainy bitter afertaste.
Well balanced. Powerful, but still elegant. Wonderful porter! DTM (541), Winters, California, USA Oct 21, 2008 Bottle Timfoolery aquired on trip to Southern California. Poured a dark brown with just a slight amount of a tan head. Definately tasted the coffee flavors thoughout the the entire beer experience. The roasted malts a brought out as the beer warms. Good beer!! Pinball (2678), Allerød, Denmark Oct 18, 2008 Updated: Mar 23, 2009ap:pours dark brown, shows totally black in the glass, light brown head.

palate is too bubbly. Moosington (28), Costa Mesa, California, USA Oct 18, 2008 Bottle from Vendome Liquors. Oil Black with small, tight, tan head. Aromas of dark chocolate and nice mellow coffee. Flavor follows with dark chocolate and coffee with a great blend of roasty malts with a very silky mouthfeel. The best Porter I’ve had to date. Strykzone (1458), Wood River, Illinois, USA Oct 17, 2008 I have been looking for this beer for some time. Pours jet black with a nice but small tan head. Aroma is plums and dark chocolate. No roasted notes. Flavor does have some roasted malt, caramel, milk, black licorice, dark fruit, and coffee. Some nice hops as well. It is nicely carbonated and both the roasted coffee beans and the hops can be tasted in the aftertaste that is a sweet roasted tart flavor. I love a good porter and this is a good one. movezig (137), Pensacola, Florida, USA Oct 17, 2008 Small head great nose. Flavors of light rosted malts, chocolate, and toffee. Medium palate wonderful brew.
