Sweet molasses aroma, bakers chocolate and lots of fresh hops. Rich chocolate, condensed milk, floral hops, a bit vinous and nutty, light coffee and molasses, complex and definitely Nogne. Medium/light body with silky tingling carbonation. Easy drinking Porter that could easily be a Brown Ale. Really a well done brew. Archibaldo de la Cruz (399), Finland

| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jul 26, 2008 Tasted 7/24/08. 500ml bottle. Dark brown and thick. Finger width of beige head. Toffee aromas with hints of cocoa, toast and mild anise. Solid nose! Rather full bodied with a sticky malt character. Coffee and bittersweet chocolate flavors. Cookies and dark berries. Sticky with a mild tart and bitter palate. Decent hop palate. Mild vanilla creaminess. Mild raisin note. Good rolling palate, but on the sweet side. Low effervescence and mild acidity. Almost a Baltic style, but hoppier. Totally tasty! cellar (485), Dublin, Ireland

| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Jul 21, 2008 Delicious. Tried this one after a disappointing left hand milk stout. Full, rich, slightly acidic. Chocolate, smoke, and a bit of bitter fruit is present throughout. Slightly harsh, and a surprising amount of hop for a porter. Overall, a wonderful brew. If it ever costs less than $11 a bottle, I’ll buy more. Tejas (695), Dallas, Texas, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Jul 17, 2008 Smells and taste like it has oatmeal in it, which is OK. Dry palate. Didn’t get much fruity flavors Without a doubt a good solid porter but I was expecting more. Got another bottle so maybe that one will floor me. wcampbell (576), Central, South Carolina, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jul 16, 2008 Pretty good. Roasted malt flavor with more chocolate than usual, not very sweet which was good. Dryer taste than most porters I have had. Very drinkable. Did not taste any alcohol. Nice bitter finish. Surprisingly light bodied for the dark color and alcohol content.
