Chocolate stout malt nose. Coffee flavors with lots of black patent and crystal malt. Snojerk321 (1914), San Diego, California, USA Jun 28, 2008 Bottle from South Bay Drugs. Opaque black with a medium tan head. Prominent roasty mocha nose, very nice. Mmmm very deep, roasty rich chocolaty flavor with the perfect amount of caramel sweetness underneath. Very well balanced with a little citrus hop note in there. Not astringent or bitter. The takeaway flavor is caramel chocolaty goodness. Alcohol content very well hidden. Doesn’t have a thick body like some stouts; more like classic medium/light porter body with soft carbonation. Very flavorful and drinkable. Highly recommended. Taste of dark chocolate, roasted malt and coffee with bitter finish. aracauna (2357), Georgia, USA Jun 24, 2008 Pretty nice porter. Molasses, very slight cocoa powder. This doesn’t seem to be the most complex of beers, but it’s not simplistic and it’s pretty darn tasty. kiefdog (1534), Tampa, Florida, USA Jun 24, 2008 50cl bottle from KIngdom Liquors (Tampa, FL).
