(bottle) Pours dark with a tan head. The aroma has a lot of burnt malt, some coffee and roasted barley. The flavor is somewhat dry with dark chocolate and cocoa, with a lingering roasted finish. My only knock on this beer is that it is kinda thin.

Pours a thick, dark color that alows very little light through it. The aroma is of roasty malts, raisins, cocoa, and plums. The flavor is of bitter chocolate with some coffee astringency, light hop bitterness, and some mild vanilla notes. Complex, but ruined by a thin, watery body. This beer could be so much more than it is, but the thin feeling on the palate totally kills it.

Pours a rich, black color with a nice tan head. Smell is dry, roasty malt with some light dusty hops, and some chocolate comes through as it sits a bit. Taste is exceptional. Smooth, creamy mouthfeel and a somehow dry, cocoa flavor balanced perfectly with bittersweet dark roast. Finishes so smoothly and cleanly, leaving a hint of a pleasant aftertaste. Carbonation is spot on, and makes for a silky, creamy beer. Very, very drinkable. One of my favorite porters for sure.

Bottle - 500ml. Opaque black body topped with a lasting beige foamy/creamy head. Lovely malty aroma with roasty, coffeeish, and cocoa hints. Some subtle smokiness is also detectable. Taste is complex, robust, and very well balanced. It ends with a long and warming bitter/roasty finish. Excellent Porter.

Excellent porter, probably one of the best porters i have ever had. Pours smooth and dark with small tan head very well balanced, roasted malts nice hint of hops and refreshing finish not as dry as most porters tend to be.

Fully opaque black body with a dense tan head. Lots of liquorice in the aroma, along with dark fruit, vanilla, chocolate and a pleasant roastedness. Lovely balance between fruityness, vanilla/liquorice and chocolate/espresso-roastedness in the taste. Smooth on the palate. A lush porter.

[Bottle] Pours black with a light tan head. Aroma is roasted malt, coffee, alcohol, and raisins. Taste is coffee and roasted malt with a little fruitiness (perhaps raisin). Quite thin. Decent finish. Too thin for me, but the aroma is pretty good.

The aroma was strong espresso roast and chocolate coupled with dark fruits, most notably raisins. Prunes were also present with a caramel undercurrent. The beer poured into the glass crystal clear black with a ruby highlight and a light brown head which lasted well to lace the glass. The flavor was caramel and chocolate with an espresso roasty component. The caramel kept the roasted malts at bay and the bittering in check. The chocolate and roast were smooth and well done. The finish was dry with lasting chocolate and roast into the aftertaste. The flavor contained some grassy hop bittering and flavor. The body was medium with a fairly low carbonation but a creamy texture on the palate. The body was medium-full and nicely done. A really nice porter, bigger than most and very easy to consume! 16.9 ounce bottle.
