Durée moyenne de l’arrière goût. bottle- pours jet black, tan head, with some lacing. Had a nice roastyness, but not as smooth as I was hoping. there is a definite astringency here, found in a lot of impy stouts. I am not sure where it came from, but I did not enjoy it. Otherwise, the beer was very thick, filling, and enjoyable.

Pours deep black into a stem glass. Tan micro head subsides to layer surface leaving slight lacing. Deep chocolate and espresso aromas. Smooth with upfront chocolae and a slightly sour fruit finish.

Bottle from Beers of the World. Completely matte black pour with a really beautiful head of thick dense mocha cream. This is a nice looking porter. There is also some lacing on the glass that adds to its attractiveness. The aroma is surprisingly lacking. I can pick up some mild roast and some alcohol but not much else. The aroma is pretty weak. The flavor is a completely different story. The first sip told me I was going to like this beer, but as the first big mouthful roller over my tongue I am thinking more along the lines of love. The silky smooth body carries with it a delicate combination of creamy milk chocolate and some assertive but smooth and mild roast. It’s a big flavor but it weight lightly on the tongue. There are some traces of alcohol but all-in-all very good.

Nice smoky, light chocolate aroma. Good chewy solid flavor, not too sweet, really a porter that makes the top of the list.

From a trade with oh6gdx, thanks Patrik.
Bottled(500ml). -Black coloured, cappucino brown head, chicory chocolate nose. Also, strong chicory and chocolate taste with notes of smoke. Rather bitter finish. Quite one-dimensional porter.

Bottle. Aroma of roasted malt, licorice, coffee and dry hops. Some semi-sweet chocolate. Pours dark brown, almost black with a nice creamy khaki head. Excellent lacing. Flavor of lightly roasted malt, bit of dry hops, mellow coffee and licorice. Medium bodied and finishes a bit watery.

Bottle from GBBF 07. Pours a dark brown/black with a good thick head. Aromas of roasted malt, coffee & chocolate. Tastes of chocolate & the wonderful bitter coffee flavour. Got a lot of time for this one.
