Sep 10, 2007 Bottle Many thanks to Craig aka cgarvieuk for this bottle Poured black with nice beige head ’quite thick’. Aroma was a little nutty and with subtle coffee notes as well. Tasted quite indulgent with nutty flavours, complimented by a lovely rich smoothness, quite filling and done very well.

Sep 7, 2007 Opaque black with nice brown head. Toasted chocolate, rubber aromas persist as well as delicious roasted coffee scents. A lighter hoppier porter than expected, with touches of drying hops and floral, piney flavors. A very well balanced brew with several complex layers. Worth a try.

Sep 6, 2007 Pours a deep black color with brown highlights and a thick, frothy, beige head. Very good aroma and flavor of coacoa, toasted bread and roasted malt with a bitter finish. The body is light with a slightly liquorous texture and gentle carbonation. Porter might not be one of the most exciting styles for me, but when it’s well done like this one it’s always a pleasure to drink.

Sep 3, 2007 bottle - Pours black with a nice tan head. There’s a rich, chocolaty roast malt aroma. The flavor has elements of chocolate and coffee vying with the dark roast malt. Creamy, full bodied, and smooth, there’s a touch of bitterness in the finish. This is an excellent porter. thanks to bdigi66 for sharing this gem.

Sep 2, 2007 pours black with tan airy head that laces quite nice. very rich porter with a touch of coffee, chocolate, and a hint of liquorice. well balanced with a bittersweet flavor!

Sep 2, 2007 (Bottle, Haket, Gothenburg, 1 Aug 2007) Black colour with frothy brown head. Roasted, malty nose with notes of chocolate, cocoa and loads of liquorice. Roasted taste with chocolate, coffee and liquorice. Balanced sweetness, chewy solid mouthfeel. Brilliiant porter.

Aug 29, 2007 Black bottle pour consisting of an amber-colored halo and a small tan head. Nutty, malt oriented aroma with hints of dark chocolate, coffee and some fruit. Great silky mouth feel leading to a big malt, hazelnut, and mocha taste.
