Aug 11, 2005 Black with a nice steady brown head. Roasted aroma from tar, licorice and dark chocolate, salty and a bit smoky. Milky, creamy flavor with tar and licorice, salty and with a nice bitter finish.

Sep 22, 2007 500 ml bottle poured a nearly opaque blach with a brown tint and a small lastingtan head. Aromas of milk chocolate, vanilla, coffee and a hint of licorice. Palate was light bodied and smooth. Flavors of dark chocolate, roasted malt, coffee, light vanilla and a hint of licorice with a smooth lingering bittersweet finish.

Aug 2, 2007 Bottle purchased at Liquor Max in Loveland. Pours black with a small fizzy light brown head, somewhat diminishing, fair lacing. Aroma is heavy malt (straw, chocolate, toasted, nutty), light hops (perfume, grass), average yeast (dough, leather) with notes of light alcohol. Medium bodied, creamy texture, soft carbonation and a bitter finish. Average duration, light sweetness, moderate acidity and bitterness.

Jun 21, 2007 My bottle (500ml), shared with tupalev. Pours black with ruby hues and a good size lasting light-brown head. Nice aroma of roasted malt, dark fruit, chocolate and coffee. Flavour of roasted malt, roasted coffee, and dark chocolate. Short dry finish. Alcohol’s well hidden. Medium bodied, somewhat creamy mouthfeel. Great Porter, incredibly easy to drink.
