Black color. Very nice aroma, hoppy and earthy. Lovely taste! Malty, hoppy, sweet, bitter, aromatic, with a touch of spices and liquorice; chocolate, roasted malt. Excellent! Fresh.

Dark color; thin creamy head. Complete different aroma from the Cask version, amlty and lightly roasty, with a touch of vanilla and paperboard. The flavor is more aggressive (carbonation) and straight-forward: roasted malt, malt, some liquorice.

Mar 16, 2008 Black with huge brown head. Sweet aroma with notes of chocolate, coffee and roasted malt. Same goes for the flavor that ends slightly bitter.

Pitch black, tan head. Toasted coffee beans and chocolate in the nose. Full-bodied, roasted malty with coffee and chocolate. Well-balanced and really tasty. (8/5/8/4/17 4.2)

Sep 19, 2006 LCRBM2. Very dark brown colour with thin beige head. Lovely dark malts on the aroma. In fact great aroma, beautiful. Coffee/choc flavours in mouth. Subtle, agile, never goes too over the top. Stunning and my beer of the Meeting I think.

Jan 7, 2007 Nice pitch black with a huge head. The aroma has notes of bitter chocolate and coffee. The flavour has notes of malt, licorice, port wine, coffee and bitter chocolate. A truly nice and powerful porter!
